Anyway today deployed three more wooden boxes. Checked the new ones but they were empty. That is normal as the rats and stoats have to get used to something new in their neighbourhood. But then I decided to go down Piccadilly. And hey the first trap, the one I moved only just yesterday, had a nice juicy rat in it. Completely unexpected. That was trap D2 if you want to check. Near Central Station.

Then near the coalmine where I have two possum traps there was indeed two possums dead! Its been a while since I got a possum there. And now two of them! That was trap T8. So all in all a very good day.

Not so much today. Went out despite being very cold. It rained all night too but was just clearing around lunch time. I was too curious to see how many the new traps had caught. And it was quite disappointing. Out of all those five traps only one possum. Expected so many more but because it was so wet the possies did not come out of forest.

So because of that I decided to walk down to Piccadilly Line and check the wooden boxes. And hey we got another stoat! Same trap D27 by the coalmine. That is excellent news.

Then I remembered a trap on Waterloo Line which I set up a few weeks ago but forgot about it. So I walked down there too but the trap, TR3, had nothing in it but it had been triggered. All re set now. On I go and trap 51 had two possums. Then I went home. Nothing in big tree paddock.

What a day! One possy, two possy, three possy, four possy, five possy, six possy, seven possy, eight possy!! Yes that is right 8 possums today. Unbelieveable. Guess what? Now we have made 400!

First one was in trap T9 on my way down to Waterloo Line. Then on I go towards the new traps installed two weeks ago. And there trap 51 had a possum, then next one trap 52 had two possums. Had to look for them too as a cat had moved them away from trap. I really have to look around the automatic traps as with those traps the possums just fall out and lie there and then of course cats can move them to a safe spot.

Then it was trap 53. Again the possum was under a bush. But that one I think might have fallen down there. It is quite steep from the trap.

So then I walk back really pleased with 5 possums. Little did I know. Got back to big tree paddock and up along bushline. First trap nothing but then T1 had a possum. From there I go to T3, down steep side and another one! That trap has now done 25 possums! Up I come again and then to trap T10 and there another mangled possum. So 8 in total.

Tomorrow weather permitting I will go and check the five new traps on Circle Line. Should be interesting. I expect at least five possums. Maybe I will take four more traps with me and install them up there as well.
