What a day today. Was only a short check up because Christine went to Christchurch. One possum yet again plus as you can see one more rat and a stoat to my great surprise. That was right down by the coalmine. That is my  favourite area for birds. Must make all effort to get rats and stoats and possums and cats out of there.

I will also put the other bird feeder down there as soon as I can. Good location near the stream among some trees. Maybe it will work down there as my other feeder further up in the field does not attract birds.

The possum was in trap T9 if you want to look and the rat in trap D22. The stoat in trap D27. That is so good. As you can see in the photo it is a rather large one. Also I reclocated trap T7 further down and T6 to another site near A3. On the A3 I lost the cap with the electronics in it. Now have to buy a new one.

Also heard many bellbirds all over. Definitely more than last year. It is just coming up for a year since we started trapping down there. It was in August my first walk down there after the hip operation.
